  1. Installation Notes for the PAS16 driver for Flight Unlimited.

  3. First copy the enclosed file proaudio.dig to the \flight\sound
  4. directory on your hard drive.  
  5.  
  6. Next switch to the \flight directory on your hard drive.  Type
  7. "edit flite.cfg" (nimus the quotes of course) and press enter.
  8.  
  9. Look for a line like this
  10.  
  11. digi_num 1
  12.  
  13. Note:  the number following digi_num may be different on your machine.
  14. change this to
  15.  
  16. digi_num 8
  17.  
  18. Now save this file then exit the editor.

  20. Your sound card should now work in it's native mode.  Because of design
  21. inconsistancies in PAS16 audio cards we can not guarentee that this 
  22. driver will work with all PAS16 cards.  In fact during our testing we
  23. found that we could not make it work with every PAS16 card, which was
  24. why we did not include it in the release.  If the driver does not
  25. work with your card, it is unlikely that we can do anything further to
  26. make it do so.

  28. One thing to check if you do have trouble is to make sure that
  29. the following lines are all set to -1

  31. digi_port -1
  32. digi_irq -1
  33. digi_dma8 -1
  34. digi_dma16 -1
